Poll in Twitter from Bobby Lee: Whose currency is the best?

Bobby Lee created a Twitter poll through which the community would choose which currency to add to the BTCC exchange.

Two communities that can win

It seems like two communities could be vying for the poll's top spot: Steemit and Ethereum Classic. I should warn you that Ethereum Classic has a very close-knit community. It's worth remembering that after the failure of the DAO, a small group of users refused to participate in the Ethereum fork. Ethereum Classic supporters even issued their own manifesto refusing to participate in the Ethereum fork. Think about that. A group of supporters joined forces and kept the original Ethereum blockchain running with minimal support. That's what I call S-O-O-B-L-E-S-T-I-O-M.

You're probably wondering why you, @lexikon082 , are raising this issue. What does this have to do with voting?

We know how friendly the Ethereum Classic community has been in the past! Do we need to show them that we at Steemit are more committed to OUR COMMUNITY? Will we show the ETC community who is the best on the block?

Here we will see some really interesting indicators. Take a look at the retweets from the Ethereum Classic and Steemit groups. There are 1400 of them in the ETC group, and we have 162! Their group outperforms us by 760%. Retweets allow them to build up power for the final vote. The Ethereum Classic community spans Twitter more people than us. At the final vote, an ordinary user Twitter will remember the Ethereum Classic group, not ours!

What do “likes” have to do with all this? Of course it's direct! According to New Statesman people view these marks as an "indicator of social status." Likes can even “boost self-esteem.” If this is true, will you vote for those with 115 marks or 468? In this regard, the Ethereum Classic group is 300% ahead of us. Our group does not increase its status in any way Twitter. Therefore, Steemit will attract fewer people in the final vote.

But we have 43%, and ETC - 37%

Yes it is. But look at the counters. Our group has 6128 votes. Their group is 8069 votes. What is the number of real votes for ETC and Steemit? Let's multiply our percentage of votes by the total number (.43 X 6128). We will receive 2635,04 votes. And Ethereum Classic has 2985,5 votes (.37 x 8069). So whose community is more active in supporting its project?

Think about it. According to Steemd.com, there are 162 accounts registered on Steemit. In the last 283 days we had 7 ACTIVE users, and in the last 15 hours - 236. Let's take the number of people per day; The latest survey began on May 24 (yesterday). It turns out that of those users who were active in the last 6838 hours, only 15% (if all the votes for Steemit belong to our users, which is unlikely) participated in the survey. This means that at least 24% of people in the community did not vote.

So I’ll ask again: “Is the Ethereum Classic community friendlier than ours or are we the best on the block?”
