Justin Sun wrote about the TRX ETF listing on the American Cboe exchange.

  • September 9 cryptocurrency Tron will become more accessible to American investors.
  • Wednesday ETF Canary Staked TRX will begin trading on the Cboe exchange.

The Canary Staked TRX ETF will begin trading on the Cboe BZX exchange on Wednesday, September 9, under the ticker TRXS. Tron founder Justin Sun announced the announcement on social media.

The listing opens a regulated path for US brokerage investors to own Tron 's TRX token.

Canary filed for a product using TRX as collateral in April 2025, and the SEC confirmed the filing under the Cboe BZX listing rules in May 2025. However, confirming the 19b-4 notice is only one step in the process. It is separate from the effective registration statement, which is required before the fund can fully operate.

The documents , dated August 19, state that TRXS is a commodity-based exchange-traded product, not a stock of any company. Its primary purpose is to track the price of its TRX and attempt to earn additional TRX through staking.

BitGo Bank & Trust holds TRX tokens, US Bank handles funds, and US Bancorp Fund Services handles administration and transfers. Shares are created and redeemed in 10,000 increments, and settlements can be made in cash or TRX.

An affiliate of the sponsor said it would purchase 10,000 initial shares at $25 each to launch the fund.

TRXS should not be confused with Tron Inc., which is a separate American operating company whose shares are traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker TRON.

Along with the ETF announcements , Sun also announced Tron Inc.'s inclusion in the Russell 2000, Russell 2500, and Russell 3000 indices, which he called expanding access for institutional investors.
