Lido

Lido is a decentralized Ethereum 2.0 staking platform that allows Ethereum holders to earn interest for participating in supporting the Ethereum 2.0 blockchain without having to run their own nodes.

In order to participate in Ethereum 2.0 staking, users must lock their Ethers into an Ethereum 2.0 smart contract during the validation period, which lasts 18 hours. During this period, the user cannot sell or send their ethers. In return for blocking their ethers, users receive interest in the form of new ethers.

Lido allows Ethereum holders to delegate their Ether to a node run by the Lido team to gain access to Ethereum 2.0 staking without having to run their own node. Lido is a decentralized platform, so the process of delegation and management of funds is completely controlled by Ethereum holders. In addition, Lido provides its users with a special token, LDO, which can be used to vote on important issues in the development of the platform.

Overall, Lido helps improve the accessibility and ease of participating in Ethereum 2.0 staking by lowering the barrier to entry and removing the barriers associated with having to set up and manage your own nodes.
